Actual size of Noah’s Ark was; 450 feet long, 75 feet wide and 45 feet high. Our model is; 6 feet long, 1 foot wide and 7.5 inches high. Kit comes with 14 pairs of animals and 7 pairs of dinosaurs all at 1/75 scale. Assembly will take several hours the first because you have to attach the Velcro. Later assemblies take an hour or less. Also includes: Booklet on Noah's Ark from Answers in Genesis; "Flood Cards" from Answers in Genesis, Complete set of directions and Sunday School or VBS lesson Ideas for using your Noah’s Ark kit • Use it as a teaching aid for a Sunday School lesson on Noah's Ark. Most children's Sunday School curricula teach on Noah's Ark at least once a year. At that time, get out the ark, put it together, and illustrate the lesson with it. The kids will never forget that lesson. • Use it in a one-time Sunday School lesson. We have included a sample lesson that could be used. Use that one or make up your own. • Use it for Vacation Bible School. Use the sample lesson included in the kit or other VBS lesson plans. • Use it in conjunction with family devotions when reading Genesis 6-9. • Use it for a great Sunday game. My children like to play Noah's Ark on Sunday afternoon. I like the fact that they are playing a game that keeps their minds on things of the Bible. They use Lego people for Noah's family (they are just the right size). They take Popsicle sticks and build corrals and pens and stalls and lofts and all kinds of things. And every minute they spend playing this game, they are having imprinted on their minds how absolutely huge the ark actually was! • Use it in home schooling. Makes part of a great unit study. History could include when the flood occurred, Ussher's chronology, cultures before and after the flood. Science would include biology and taxonomy (the difference between species, genus, and kind), flood geology (where did all the water come from and go to), and physics (would the ark float, how much water would it displace, and could it capsize). Math could include the size of the ark, converting cubits to feet, ratios and fractions (this ark is on a scale of 1:75), and volume. Language arts could include reading the account in the Bible, reading related books on the ark and the flood, writing a paper or other composition on some aspect of Noah, the Ark, and the flood. The Story of Fidelity Bible Kits Fidelity Bible Kits was started by Paul and Judi English in 2002 from their home in North Carolina. Paul, who was home schooled on the mission field in South Korea, and his wife Judi have been home schooling their seven children (number eight is due in November, 2003) since they were born. Over the years, creation science has become a hobby of Paul's. In early 2002 Paul wanted to make an accurate scale model of the Ark to show his children how big it actually was. He could find nothing like this ark kit on the market, so he decided to make one himself. As he worked on it, he became inspired to make a model that could be reproduced and sold to other parents and teachers to help children (and adults) understand the truth about Noah's Ark and the flood.
