Light During the First Three Days of Creation

O

Since the Sun and the Moon were created on the fourth day how did the Earth have “evening and morning” during the first three days? Where did the light come from? The light in the first three days was probably from God himself coming from a specific location where He was located. His person is described as light in many places in scripture. I believe that during Day number HE creates all the material from which everything else is constructed. This is not just light but all the protons, electrons, quarks… that make up the universe. I also believe that a water covered body existed from day one. (It already exists at the beginning of day two since God is separating the waters in that day.) Since we have evening and morning each day that would give us a period of day and night in each cycle as the water covered body rotated. On day four God creates the light “bearers”, sun moon and stars, for a purpose. This purpose is stated in Genesis 1:14-19: “And God said, Let there be lights in the firmament of the heaven to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs, and for seasons, and for days, and years: And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: he made the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, And to rule over the day and over the night, and to divide the light from the darkness: and God saw that it was good. And the evening and the morning were the fourth day.” They give light to help mankind determine time. All of this description is the best conjecture we can make from the Scripture.

Remember, science changes, the Truth does not.
