Creation and evolution have
very different answers of how the various “races” came about. When Darwin
wrote in 1859 he and some of his followers proposed that the different races
of men were more or less removed from the apes from which they descended.
So, the white Europeans ranked them accordingly; first white, then yellow,
then brown, then black and last the Aborigines in Australia. White
Europeans would later go to Tasmainia and shoot the natives of the land into
extinction, sending their skulls back to museums in Europe as artifacts of
evolution. The “science” of Eugenics (a form of scientifically sanctioned
racism) would get a strong boost from Darwinism. Eugenics played out it’s
philosophy in Germany in the 30’s and 40’s with specific genocide of
specific groups of people. It was supported by many of the worlds
intellectuals who rejected the Christian view of history. One notable
supporter was Margaret Sanger, the founder of Planned Parenthood. The Bible teaches that all men are a single race and the only differences are based on descent from one of the language groups that were dispersed at Babel. Since I believe all men are descended from Adam and Eve they are of “one blood” as the Bible says. The Bible DOES NOT support any form of racism. The differences between people living in various parts of the world are from their personal genetics inherited from their parents. There is only one color of human skin, but it is darker or lighter based on how much of the skin pigment melanin a person has. Some groups are distinct by particular genes. For example, the Native Americans have a gene that puts their capillary blood vessels closer to the skin surface so they look “red”. The people that live in the Orient have a gene that puts a layer of fat just under the skin so they look yellow and have distinctive eyes. The different ways people appear is really all in the genes. There is however another factor. The survival of the fittest is a real process in nature, but it is a destructive process and always results in the loss of genetic information. The distribution of humans on the earth, before modern transportation displaced them, was based on the depth of skin color. Darkest at the equator, getting lighter as you move away (north or south) and the getting dark again as you get to the areas of “midnight sun”. Since all the people alive today are descended from Noah and his family, his five genetic sources contained all the information for all the different people on Earth today. Amazing. This should not surprise us since we see great genetic variety in all the kinds of animals. Just think about dogs, big, small, short, tall, round, long… God made each man unique in His image for a purpose. There is great variety among men, but all are in need of Christ to be reconciled to God.

Reply: Please go back and reread my article because your accusation
is not valid. I never said today's scientists "actually still thinks that there
are distinct races of people." I stated some of the developments from history.
Although there is no genetic difference, RACISM is an international problem
and evolution did help develop it in the past. This is another example of scientific
knowledge not being advanced into the culture. A GREAT MANY citizens of the
US believe that the races are a real way to separate people. I agree this is
not true but in practice it is BELIEVED. The whole "science" of Eugenics was
based on the work of Darwins followers. You can find web sites that use that
"science".
