Platypus Challenges Evolution
One of the challenges of evolution is to show the descent of a
creature from similar ancestors. A real challenge to this is
the duckbilled platypus. It is: warmblooded and suckles it's
young like a mammal, lays eggs like a bird, fish or reptile, has
a shoulder girdle and claws like a reptile, has a single ventral
opening (mating, elimination and birth), can detect electrical
currents (AC and DC) like some fish, has a bill like a duck,
hair like a bear, webbed feet like an otter, a flat tail like a
beaver, spurs like a rooster and the male can inject poison
venom like a pit viper. WHO is descended from it??? And what
is it going to become???
